Though Reformation Day officially falls on October 31, our Cor Deo community gathered on October 24 to celebrate this special day a bit early—allowing families to enjoy both our school festivities and other autumn traditions without overlap.
From the moment students arrived, the spirit of celebration filled the halls. Children came dressed in Reformation-era costumes, like knights, monks, and ladies, filling the campus with excitement. The day began with a parade to our upper campus for feasting and songs. Students and staff alike reflected on God’s faithfulness and the courage of those who stood for truth during the Reformation.
Following our lively feast, students moved through a series of games and crafts designed to make history come alive. Laughter echoed through the halls as students hopped across colored squares in a playful game that ended in rounds of rock-paper-scissors. Others tested their aim at ring toss, created beautiful stained glass art, and enjoyed a variety of other hands-on activities that blended fun with learning.
It was a day that captured the heart of Cor Deo’s mission—educating the mind while shaping the heart. As students celebrated the legacy of faith and truth passed down through generations, they did more than remember history—they experienced it with joy and gratitude.
